Introduction
We help organisations, agencies, and industry to build and improve their knowledge and tools needed to support and grow their surveying, mapping and monitoring works.
Our core competence in capacity building lies in two main fields:
- Hydrographic Remote Sensing is the use of satellite and airborne sensors for hydrographic applications. These include Satellite-Derived Bathymetry technologies, more effective survey strategies, shoreline delineation and many other. We organise workshops and conferences, such as the SDB Day, which has rapidly become the leading forum for exchanging knowledge. We attend regional and extraordinary commission meetings of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and provide software solutions and training to develop in-house capabilities for selected clients.
- Surface Water Observation is the frequent recording of Water Quality, surface water cover or temperature based on satellite observations. Our capacity-building package includes training on methods and tools, provision of state-of-the-art software solutions to enable in-house capabilities, and data storage and management with web applications.
Our ambition in all our capacity-building activities is to provide you with the best available knowhow and tools. This will help reduce planning and project risks in your daily work.
