Fugro and EOMAP cooperate to provide integrated bathymetric surveys
Munich, August 11th — EOMAP announced today that it has entered into a teaming agreement with Fugro, a premier provider of high resolution hydrographic and geophysical marine survey products and services. The agreement will enable Fugro and EOMAP to create integrated bathymetric survey products that will be comprised of elements from Satellite Derived Bathymetry (SDB), Airborne LiDAR Bathymetry (ALB) and traditional acoustic survey technologies. The integrated product solution will deliver outstanding value and offer unmatched coverage for clients.
EOMAP has developed a robust technology platform that can process satellite images and deliver global bathymetric and benthic habitat data over the full range of temporal and spatial resolutions through its proprietary, sensor-independent Modular Inversion Processor (MIP). The MIP processing suite is based on over 30 years of development effort and offers a state-of-the-art, physics-based processing platform unique to the industry.
“We are very pleased to partner with Fugro to provide our Satellite Derived Bathymetric products and services to Fugro”, said Matthew Bergin, Vice President of Business Development at EOMAP. “We believe that this agreement will create an unique, one-stop technology ressource to meet the demanding requirements of commercial and governmental customers alike.”
“Fugro is delighted to team with EOMAP to provide an even broader integrated survey services solution to our combined markets”, said Don Ventura, Hydrographic Business Development Manager at Fugro. “Teaming with EOMAP augments our own considerable survey and satellite imagery capabilities, and will allow a timely and cost-effective nearshore bathymetry review facility for clients whose own bathymetric holdings are either very old, or very sparse, or both. This service will help coastal zone management and engineering teams, environmental scientists and hydrographic agencies alike to focus on their immediate needs and to make more informed decisions on subsequent, efficient data acquisition and management.”
