The World Biodiversity Forum (WBF) is one of the largest conferences of its kind and convenes only every 2 years. Under the theme “Leading Transformation Together,” its fourth edition will take place from 14–19 June 2026 in Davos, Switzerland. The event brings together global leaders, researchers, practitioners, and change‑makers to advance transformative action for biodiversity and support the implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

Our colleague, Dr. Rainer Ressl – a dedicated expert in ecosystem monitoring and blue carbon assessments from space – will take the floor at the WBF2026 for the following two conference talks:

  • 16th June – 9:15 – 9:30 – Room Sanada 1
‘Advancing Coastal Biodiversity Monitoring through Blue-Carbon Metrics through Hyperspectral Multisensor Earth Observation’
  • 17th June – 9:30 – 9:45 – Room Jakobshorn
‘Integrated Earth Observation and Modelling for Blue Carbon and Coastal Biodiversity Monitoring’
